When this young family came into the studio for their portrait session, we discovered that each child wanted to be photographed with dad separately because he was about to leave home for his 2nd tour in Afghanistan.
And when mom came back into the studio to finalize the portrait order
she was in uniform also.
I asked how both parents being in the military worked
and she explained that there was an agreement ...
when one parent goes off to protect our country the other stays home to be with the children.
Tears came to my eyes. So much caring, bravery and 'love of country' in one family
was amazing to experience.
We have ordered a sample portrait for the studio of this outstanding family with the inscription:
"A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms."
