The Fortin Boys

Cynthia used to walk by our studio window on her way home from school and say "One day I'll have portraits in that window". Well that day came when she had her sons photographed!
Cynthia: I Love my portraits and they get more beautiful every day! They become more precious over time. Ethan(the baby) looks at them and smiles and points to his big brother Ellison, who's away at daycare.
The first 3 holes in the walls of my new home were the holes it took to hang the portraits and I can't think of a better reason for them.

Annesonia's First Birthday!

Tammy and baby Annesonia posed for a Mother & Daughter portrait in celebration of her 'long awaited' daughter's first birthday. The youngest of three children and only little girl in the family, Annesonia fits in perfectly as the little princess. The look on Tammy's face says it all!
Pat
The anticipation of the photo was unbelievable....seeing it moves me to tears as it seems like a dream. I am so sentimental.... To be so blessed, I can not believe she is mine and that she is really one year old. The constellation of memories from this first year are lasting pages in my mind. Pat, your portrait leaves her footprint on my heart with the innocent magic of that December 11th day. My sweet babies...all three.
Thanks ever so much
With Love,
Tammy

The Pembroke Family

We have been blessed to be able to photograph the Pembroke family over the years. While Todd and I were in the studio waiting for Robin to arrive and see the finished family portrait, he kept staring at the image and he finally said "You' ve really captured the boys this year as young men." Chris and I have enjoyed watching this beautiful family grow and mature,
and in some small way we have a sense of pride in helping them capture memories in the portraiture we've created throughout the years

Our Favorite Place in the World!

The Beltrami Family (Photographed by our best friends, Kent and Sarah Smith from Ohio) in Ogunquit, Maine... Our Favorite Place in the World.
Over the last 10 years, Ogunquit, Maine has been our favorite place to vacation. For two weeks every summer we have been vacationing in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Our family has always been into making memories. To make memories requires setting aside the time to do so. Our typical vacation day in Maine begins with coffee and breakfast... and a planning session around the dining room table about the day's events. Time at the beach is always factored in. On the way down to the beach, Chris and I try to take all of the grandchildren in our car, and we always play the song "Today is my favorite day, God made it in a special way, I love tomorrow and yesterday, but today is my favorite day... going to Ogunquit Beach!!"
We decorated over our fireplace with a 50" canvas image. Whenever we look at it we are reminded of the love that bonds family together.

Karen's Kids

During Christmas vacation last year, Karen scheduled her grown children, who came as far away as California, for an updated portrait to decorate her new home with.

After Chris and I photographed and 'caught up with' the kids, I prepared the images and invited Karen in for the viewing. As I unveiled our 'favorite capture' of her children she didn't say a word- she couldn't because she was crying, which is something she confessed she doesn't normally do. That was the greatest compliment we could have received.

I delivered her portrait just in time for Thanksgiving and it hangs proudly in her home as an artpiece that will bring her years of enjoyment.

Portrait of a Midshipman

There are fingerprints on the photography studio on Main Street in Barre from people putting their faces and hands up to the window. There is a new portrait on display, waiting framing and the owner's eager seizure.
Has a portrait ever illustrated a young officer more beautiful and lovely while capturing the dignity, strength and honor that comes in wearing the uniform of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland?
She is dressed in Formal Dress Blues, the "Parade Uniform." On Thursday, a day before graduation and commissioning ceremonies, she will wear this particular uniform for the last time.
This uniform has seen little fashion change in the one hundred sixty off years of tradition. The golden anchor on the collar is specific to the United States Naval Academy.
Beyond the uniform is a young officer- steadfast, confident and self-assured. The kind of inner strength and characteristics we have come to trust in our military men and women. Gaze into the eyes and I see a midshipman's "eyes on the boat" and further beyond that boat...I know that the visions of the dreams that were once only imagined are now clearly in focus and a reality. She has been selected to be a Navy pilot.
Dedicated to my daughter, Ensign Margaret C. Gould and all of our men and women in "uniform".
Thanks to Beltrami Studios of Barre, Vermont for their craftsmanship and dedication; and to John Bramblett, fellow USNA alum of Waterbury Center, Vt for the use of his "heirloom" belt and sword.

The Morrill's

We were so excited to have our family portraits taken in Maine. The time that we spent on the beach was so much fun! It was exciting and magical, as onlookers watched us all dressed up... wondering who we were!
The beach holds special memories because we have gone there since the children were small. To have our photographs taken there was actually a dream come true. This moment will be treasured for many years as we enjoy these family portraits hanging in our home.
